I did tuck them into a corner and put a couple of things in the way but it seems that wasn't enough @Nanny Beach . They normally stop just before that spot and then jump up onto the compost bin and then make their exit along the back fence. One of them obviously felt the need to destroy something first
I thought I'd been clever but the cats know better don't they?
I have cats. And a dog. And foxes galore as one of the garden walls seems to be their highway, and they love sunning themselves up on top of my shed.
There are "cats away" gels you can put down. Or you could grow citronella, which they don't seem to like the smell of.
I have resigned myself that with all these animals, I will always have an amount of damage - the dog being the worst culprit. Infuriates me but I'm trying to be philosophical about it.
Our five year old border collie, digs, she dug up a honeysuckle recently, it wasn't newly planted, she also digs round a cherry tree. When she was a puppy, I was removing a pile f upturned turf, previous owners had piled up, it was like a burial mound, (clay) I had to bash at it with a pick axe, no way you could get a spade through, she said, "Great Mum I will help you", and had a go at digging, (with her paws!) Just before we moved in here, at our last house, woman over the road moved in with 5 cas, THEN I had trouble, I tried everything!Thankfully, they confined themselves to our front open plan garden, don't think they fancied their chances round the back with my 3 dogs!
