Spiky plant problems

Please could anyone offer some advice on this plant? I have 2 the same and I’ve recently moved them both from a garden border into pots. I’ve noticed the lower leaves turning a funny colour. This one is the worse one. (I brought it inside to have a proper look, it normally lives outside.) Any ideas gratefully welcome. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It could be that the move from garden to pot has caused a small amount of root damage. The plant is trying to support the same amount of leaves with less root system so it is hardly surprising if some of the leaves are dying back as a result. Trim off the damaged ones and hopefully the plant will perk up once it is established in the pot.
  • Thank you for the kind welcome or speedy reply. That’s fab, I’ll do that tomorrow and keep an eye on it for a while. Do you know what plant it is by any chance? :)
  • I think this is likely to be a Yucca. It will dislike being in such a very small pot; it's much better in the open ground. In a largish container you might manage it for a few years. But it will probably die quite soon where it is (and is trying to let you know!)
