    I have a clematis montana which should be budding.  Thought it was dead, but I used the secateurs and cut an inch off one of the ends - it is alive, just slow.  Well its been pretty cold so it will be later flowering this year.

    Do one low down a main branch.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
