Dying Basil

in Plants
Hello, is there anyway this Basil can be saved? We had some really warm weather so I put it outside and it was doing well, but then it got really cold and it went like this...

You can buy Basil plants from your local garden centre, usually about a dozen in a round pot - but don't plant them out into the garden quite yet. End of April - and even then....
Don't be in a hurry (as we all tend to be after winter) otherwise you're other plants could go down the same road as the Basil.
Happy gardening.

Basil hates cold, I don't put it outside until mid May, but it's usually quite happy on the kitchen window sill. I've just moved house and noticed that my new kitchen doesn't have a window sill!
If you pick the tips for cooking then it makes side shoots and gets quite bushy and there are usually several plants in a pot so it keeps going for some time. I do what @Ceres does, it roots very easily in water.
Thanks for the advice! I will get another one and keep inside for now 😊 definitely got a bit over excited as it's my first spring with a garden 🤗🤗
