Cuttings from a cherry??

Morning everyone.  We have a beautiful cherry tree outside the front of our house which unfortunately has become way too big for its location.  It was planted when the development was built around 30 years ago and is now, at the height of summer in full leaf, approx. 25-30ft tall.  The roots are lifting the paving slabs/path and encroaching onto our lawn so we’ve made the difficult decision to have it taken down 😞  Does anyone know if cuttings can be taken and the best way to do it?  We love that tree and would love to hang on to a part of it.  Thanks in advance.
