Ornamental grass/long-leafed plants - advice needed
Hi - thanks so much in advance for any advice that you can give. I have a plant in mind to put next to my arch (which will be covered in clematis) but I can’t for the life of me remember its name - have searched for hours.
It has very long, thin, light evergreen leaves (I can’t even remember if it’s strictly a plant or a grass, hence the title) that mostly stand up straight. I’m not sure if it flowers, have only seen it in winter. Long shot but does anyone have any ideas...?

Alternative suggestions very welcome! It’s a sunny spot in clay soil.

When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
Could be a variety of cordyline or even a dwarf pine.
Not likely to be miscanthus as they turn colour in winter.
Was it similar in looks to this
Also, have you ever seen any kind of flowers on it?
