My jasmine plant seems to be dying

My jasmine has been doing really well in the garden growing against a west-facing fence. I planted it from a pot two years ago (ish) and it's grown to about 7-8 feet high and is spreading nicely.  It flowers (although not prolifically) each year.  This winter it suddenly started turning brown.  I attach some pictures. Can anyone diagnose and suggest treatment, please?

  • It's just some dead bits due to recent cold - maybe colder than in other recent years. It won't die - it will grow just fine from the green bits. You can cut the brown bits off if you want (that's for appearance sake, rather than to benefit the plant), but I know how tedious that is when they're here and there all over the plant.

Mine always looks like that at this time of year - admittedly it's in a pot (outdoors) when it would rather be planted out.
  • Brilliant! Thank you - I was worried because of the spots and thought it might be some sort of fungus.  I'm so relieved!!
