Compost at least 7 years old...worth using?

We cleared the space beneath our raised garage and found two unopened , large bags of multi purpose compost. Peat free.

Will all the nutrients have gone? Is there no point using it for baskets/containers?

Am I best putting it on the flower beds or could I mix it with my oak and beech leaves collected this year for mulch?

Thank you

I only ever use MPC as a soil conditioner, even when fresh.
