Strawberry runners

I am overrun with runners on both allotment and at home in pots 😳. All from mother plants less than 3 years old   . I can’t bear to discard any healthy looking plants.   Would they be ok in pots  against a wall ?   Thanks in advance

All my strawberries are going in pots in my back garden this year as last years crop on the allotment ripened beautifully and was then eaten by rats. I have learnt my lesson.

What size pots do you use ?

I am planning to use some 30cm pots. I imagine they will need more food and water but as they are now in my garden not the allotment that should be easier. It’s not perfect but I lost the whole crop last year.

I find that they are often better off in pots or planters - seem to get less 'interest' from diners!

There are a lot of rats at the allotment I suppose it’s only natural all that free food. My strawberries will be better off in the garden where I can watch them. I have 2 cats so rodents are not a problem.
