Poor soil flowering plants

Hi i wondering what i can plant along a stretch of very poor soil/ rockery type....i jst would love some bloom for this summer with not much work as time is a problem

    Annuals seem to so better in poor soil, still time to sow seed.

    You could try a wild flower or annual seed mix as @K67 mentions and just see what comes up.  Many wild flowers prefer low-fertility soils as long as they get a decent amount of sun and water.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Ok...thank you for all these replies...would ove a wild flower look...might try a wee mix of these

    As Loxley suggested nasturtiums they will climb up the conifers and it's lovely to see a bright flower poking through the dense green.
