Verben boneriensis

Verbena bonariensis for the first time since growing this it looks really dead. I have huge clumps around the garden for the butterflies and normally it survives the winter. All the stems are crisp. Any hope it will regrow?

The old stems on mine are crispy too and I've been removing them.
Right at the base of the stems I can see green shoots appearing though.

Thank you. Just scratched the surface and there are tiny shoots appearing, thank goodness!

Best to take cuttings if possible during late summer. They root easy and make free plants 👍
