Pellets or eggs?

I'm embarrassing myself again here, no doubt haha, but are these pellets within the compost or eggs? 🙈🙈

    Feed granules, or what's left of them anyway. I think every gardener goes through the experience of thinking they're eggs at some point though.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    From the picture they look like slow release fertiliser pellets to me. Take one out and step on it if it goes crunch, it's fertiliser 😄
