Anyone Planted/hardeb out yet?

Hi,

Has anyone planted their seedlings out yet! Or starting hardening her seedlings?

I'm so worried about putting my calabrese, french beans and rainbow carrots out to harden!

Is it to early?!

Much too early for French beans as they are not frost hardy and don't even like being cold - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/grow-your-own/vegetables/french-beans

There are many varieties of Calabrese so it depends which one you have.  Some will tolerate cold better than others.  I'd advise hardening off by putting them out by day and back in at night until things warm up a bit, especially at night.

Carrots will stand a bit of frost but, again, babies will be more tender and will be checked if put out when it's still cold at night.

Don't ignore things like wind chill either.  It's 10C here out of the wind on our south facing front doorstep but feels like it's almost freezing just round the corner in the wind.
