Sweet pea sowing

Is it still possible to sow sweet peas 'Matucana'
I've got a small number of empty loo role tubes I'd like to use if possible. I was just wondering what is the best way of making use of them. Cheers.

Plenty of time left to sow sweet peas.  I normally sow mine in Feb, but last year (for various reasons) I didn’t do any til April.  I still had a great season of flowers- just started slightly later.

This year I sowed half in Feb, and will do another lot start of April .... hoping to keep the flowers coming May-Sept that way 😀

I've just read that sweet peas are suitable for growing in pots, which I didn't know, therefore can anyone suggest what might be a suitable sized pot for a single plant, or two.

They don't look very good planted singly imo.  I wouldn't plant less than 5 in a pot and generally use at least a 40cm dia. pot as the one thing they won't tolerate is their roots drying out.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I use a 45cm tub in the front garden (it has no soil, it's a path) to grow a group up a trellis with white geraniums in front to hide the roots and trailing lobelia.
