How should I remedy this?

Folks,

When the builders cemented my wall they dropped quite a bit of cement on my soil and this happened to my plants...

My question is...what should i do for the soil to remedy it. I dont know if the cement would have affected the PH of the soil or why its affected my plants this way. They were before the cement very green and healthy.

  • I'm not sure, but that looks like frost damage to me
  • Hi stephentame...

Ive assumed it was after the cement but the work also coincided with the winter months...i was pretty sure it was a perenniel though

If it’s a perennial it’ll develop new shoots and leaves this year. Those leaves will be replaced.

I would clear any lumps of cement from the soil surface and mulch the bed with some garden compost or similar. That should remedy the possibility of any deleterious effect to the soil.

Have you no idea what you planted there?  It looks a bit like a tree sapling to me ... or a shrubby climber ...

  • I meant i thought it was an evergreen ...

This is what it looked like in october 2020 before the builders but also coincided with the winter months not too long afterwards of course...

Are you sure that's what it is as the photos I saw the flowers looked  daisy like and it's not winter hardy, the leaves aren't the same either

Mistaken identity?  That’s not Euryops pectinatus which looks like this

Trying to think what it might be ... the pictures a bit fuzzy ... reminds me of the golden Campsis radicans but need better pictures 🤔
