Compost

Reading various articles on composting. Seems that the ratio of carbon to nitrogen should be about 2:1. Is this by volume.

    It’s a rough guide.

Theres no need to compact and weigh everything you put in the compost.

    I found this -

'Generally speaking, you can get C:N ratios of 30:1 to 50:1 by adding two parts of a GREEN material to one part of a BROWN material to your bin. A "part" can be defined as a certain quantity of the material, such as two 5-gallon buckets of GREEN and 1 packed bucket of BROWN.'

    from here

    Hope that helps

Put all your plant waste in the compost add any paper, cardboard, leaves to the bin mix it up, then mix it up again. Hey presto your making compost 😁. Too much emphasis on carbon and nitrogen ratios just put a good variety of materials in, so don't just add grass or just put in dried twiggy stuff. Everything will breakdown in the end it's what nature intended.
