Need advice from a rose expert

Hello

I planted two climbing roses last spring. They've done well so far and are full of buds this year. But watching GW last night made me wonder if I've planted them deep enough. I believe the graft should be buried. Is the graft in this picture the bit currently above ground. I have added the grit just so it shows up against the soil. I can add a few more inches of soil or perhaps manure? If needs be.

Any advice from you experts would be great.

Yes, that's the graft and rose growers these days advise burying it an inch or two when planting.   Go ahead and add a mix of soil and manure to raise the level and don't be afraid to give it an annual mulch of manure.  They are very hungry plants.

Thank you. Just gave it a few more inches of compost and manure.
