Dogwood

I have 3 dogwoods in a border that we are in the process of replanting. I want to take them out and then when I decide where to put them, replant them again. My question is when I take them out of the ground what would be the best thing to do with them while I decide where to plant them. I was thinking of putting them into separate pots, keep them watered and hope they survive. Thanks

so long as you get a good rootball out, and the pots are big enough, I'd say that should be fine.

    Can't you decide first?

Great thanks. I was hoping you would say that!!
Buttercupdays, we are laying paving stones to place a lovely bench on in the area we are altering and then I’ll will be able to replant them. 😁

Cuttings taken now will often root quite easily. Its the time to cut them down anyway, so try putting a few of the prunings into a deep pot of soil to act as back up.
