Companion planting

can I plant beetroot, courgette and celeriac next to each other in the same bed?

    I think all those are OK together. Bear in mind that courgettes take up a lot of space.

    I agree, should be fine together, beetroot and celeriac are root vegetables, plus I’m not aware of any negative effects of growing them with curcubits like courgettes. Give the courgettes the sunniest side and restrict yourself to two plants unless you want to feed an army!! As Busy-Lizzie says, they need a lot of space.

    Only problem is likely to be courgettes, with large leaves, smother the others.
    Courgettes usually planted with sweetcorn or beans, taller plants which don't compete for light.
    Beans, being legumes, tend to provide nitrogen for the courgettes too.
