All but the cannas, which aren't fully hardy. I prefer potting up bare roots to grow on for a bit, and keep them safe from slugs etc, unless a. they're obviously very big healthy divisions and the planting spot is well prepared or b. it would be unfeasible to grow them on in pots.

Yes I have a few bare root plants and when they arrived it was advised that they first get put in pots to grow on and get tough. I think you need to get the roots planted as soon as you receive them.
