Star Jasmine Brown Leaf

Hello,  We planted a Star Jasmine (Trachelospermum Jasminoides).  It grew and flowered very well over last Summer, but now it looks rather weak and has a lot of brown leaves, some of which are falling from the plant.
Could you kindly advise whether this plant is ill, or is it just the time of year?  I have attached a photograph.
Many thanks for your assistance!

Mine looked like this, this time last year. They'd had their first winter since planting. I thought they had some kind of disease. I cut out totally dead bits, and they started to regrow, and have made it through this much colder winter relatively unscathed. The leaves have bronzed a bit but that's normal.

  • Dear Loxley, thank you for your response.  We will trim out the dead parts as you suggest and hopefully the onset of some warm weather will have it blooming again soon.
