Why is my jasmine dead???

    In your previous thread, I suggested that you post a photo. Are you going to do that?
    Some but not all Jasmines look dead at this time of year.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I'll send photo this morning, last summer it was nearly over the arch but not sure if the frost has killed it,looks very sad,all brown dried up, I've cut back half of it but its still looking dead

  • There is a strong chance your jasmine is still alive. This winter weather has hit them hard, mine looks dead and my neighbour's looks very scorched from cold, frost, snow wind etc. etc. which have been thrown at them. However, be patient, wait for another month or two and see if new shoots appear. Prune back to above a growing shoot and it will get away. Probably we will lose most of the top growth, the plants will look very denuded but jasmine recover quite quickly.

    Oh thank you so much,my 1st year with jasmine and I was gutted, it was so beautiful but looks so sad at the moment,fingers crossed it will be okay
