  Mine came without cable.

  UK models come with a fixed cable and European models just have a socket.

  Another vote for the Bosch AXT25TC. It is a muncher rather than a shredder, great for branches. I think it's about 40mm max. It's not good at soft stuff on its own though. Ok for leaves on the branches but not for e.g. clematis or soft conifer scales.
  Note the TC is different from the cheaper TD.
