Welcome to the forum. I only read your post out of curiosity thinking it was about the plant called heather. As some people only click on things that interest them you might want to do a new post with a heading of eg. Mexican orange shrub - help please.
The problem with your shrub may be weather related. I used to have a Mexican Orange blossom shrub (Choisya Ternata) and I would notice round pale marks on some leaves in spring indicating that part of the leaf is dead. The marks would turn into holes in a few weeks. I guess it's down to the very cold snap we had a few weeks ago has damaged some of the leaves. If that sounds like what your plant has, it's nothing to worry about. It's just cosmetic damage
