Tomatos

Hello can anyone tell me can you use soil to grow tomatos or do you need compost also can you use both thank you

    Depends where you are and where you want to plant your tomatoes.

    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

    Tomatoes will happily grow in garden soil or compost. If you are growing them in the greenhouse then it would be best to grow them in decent compost that will have enough plant food incorporated to give the plants a good start, and you won't be forever pulling out weed seedlings. Most varieties will also grow quite happily outside in the garden. They will need feeding with tomato feed whatever you grow them in.
