Sansiam

Hi
Can anyone advise? I have been given this beautiful (well I think it is) houseplant today . One small question it has a tear and is brown at the top -  does this look normal and is it OK?

Is it a Sansevieria? I don't know the word Sansiam. Anyway, a bit has been torn off at the tip at some time in the past, so there's a bit of a brown scar where it happened. It won't cause a problem, other than to the appearance.

Later edit: Looking up the word, I see 'Sansiam' used as part of the name for a particular Sansevieria cultivar. And the thing we're looking at is just a leaf, so a missing tip doesn't really matter.

Thanks very much for your reply - appreciated  - I won't worry too much then -  and just give it TLC with not very much water!!
