Sickly abelia floribunda

Hello experts.  Has my abelia succumbed to frost bite? I see some new growth so hoping all is not lost. Thanks.

It probably has but if there's new growth showing just leave it be till late April or mid-May and then prune out any dead or damaged looking stems.

Our Abelia Kaleidoscope is looking the worse for the wear too, but new growth should start showing soon.  As soon as the risk of frost is over, you can prune back any dead foliage.

New growth is a good sign. Abelia Floribunda is more tender and usually need wall protection. They should be grown against a south/westerly wall unless you live somewhere very mild.
