What house plant is this please

    They're actually clam shells (spaghetti vongole by-product) and help reduce evaporation form the compost as well as keeping my cats off when they were young kittens and into everything.   When the plant goes out for the summer hols the shells catch rain water and stop compost splashing up the leaves.
    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    What with getting showers and holidays, your plant gets better looked-after than I do!!

    Not to mention sea-food suppers 🍽 😉

    Im just reigniting this thread.
    A few months after I last posted all the leave promptly fell off. I suspect becuase the plant was in shock to a sudden temperature change. (It was next to a drafty door).
    ALL the leaves have fallen off and its now just a very sorry-looking vertical stick. Being the hopeless optimist I thought it would perhaps regrow some leave, but so far after nearly a year theres no leaves. Should I give it up for dead?

    I picked up a much smaller one at my local Sainsbury's for £3.5 last summer. I'm sure you can find one at reasonable cost to start over again. :)
