Can you identify this flower please?

Hi folks. I recently bought my wife a bouquet for her 50th birthday and in amongst it was this beautiful flower. I would love to know what it is if anyone can help. Thanks.

Thats what I’d say too ......here’s a googled image for you to compare....

They are South African flowers - not easy to grow here without a glasshouse.  But if you like the flower you could probably find similar in a dahlia or chrysanthemum that you could grow in the garden.  BTW Happy 50th to your wife 🥳🥳🥳

Thanks so much Chicky, that is it spot on! I really appreciate you taking time to share the picture and information. I’m really new to this, so chuffed that I was thinking along the lines of Dahlia to achieve the look too. :)

Thanks for the good wishes too 🙂

Agree Pin cushion Protea ..Leucospermum cordifolium.

They are popular as cut flowers as they last such a long time.
