Red/brown spots on leaves

Hi!
I’m having a hard time with my plants. Pests - insects, diseases, etc. Trying to save them, and doing extensive research how to handle those, but couldn’t find an answer for this:
I’m having a hard time with my plants. Pests - insects, diseases, etc. Trying to save them, and doing extensive research how to handle those, but couldn’t find an answer for this:
Those are just two examples, many of my plants have those markings. Some of the plants have had insect problems (1st picture - calathea warczewiczii), some of them haven’t (2nd picture - agave quadricolor, haven’t noticed any insects).
What is causing those red/brown spots?
