Anemone de Caen

Spring has sprung at last and in my front patch are a couple of anemone de Caen plants in full flower. I am overjoyed with them and next year would like to have loads more. I have some brown crinkly, and I think they may be called corms, please correct me if I am wrong, ready for planting. I’m told to soak them overnight in water before planting out.
The big question is to get them to flowering next year at this time 5 th March. What date do I soak them and plant out. Also, what do I do to keep them good and viable in the meantime. Many thanks. Valerie

    Soak them now for 24 hours then plant in good soil.

    @Obelixx thank you. Sounds like I’m just in time to get them going for flowers next March. I really love the shape and colour saturation of these lovely flowers. They also last a long time in water I find. Thanks again. Valerie

    @Obelixx do you happen to know what time I should plant out some free bulbs of the small type of gladioli I have been given with my order. They would be perfect if they bloomed in August. Is that possible ? Thank you Valerie

    Wait till the worst of the frosts are over - if memory serves me well - or plant them in pots of compost and keep sheltered in a frost free place to grow on till you can safely transplant them outside.

    @Obelixx ok I can do that, but when do you think I should plant them in the compost to flower for August.

    Sorry, I've never tried to target a flowering time to a particular date.
