Lopsided dwarf cherry tree
Dear All,
I was hoping someone could help me with my dwarf cherry tree (prunus serrulata, kiku-shidare). They look lovely online but mine is lopsided. I also have no idea whether mine should be a drooping cherry tree or whether the branches should grow upwards. The tree doesn't seem to know what to do either
and I have seen both varieties online.
Is it too close to the wall? It's about 60 cm away from the wall at the moment. Should I prune it drastically to change the shape? If so, how drastically can I cut it back and when should I do this? The main growth of the tree is south facing. Should I conser rotating the tree to encourage growth on one of the other sides?
Any ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Finn

How long has it been in the ground?
Also l'm not sure about the staking, but it's been many years since I planted a tree so hopefully someone with more experience can advise.
