Any IDs would be much appreciated. The only thing in the bed that would freely self seed (I think) is Verbena B.

Hello, I think 1 & 3 are different Willowherbs and two looks like a poppy?

Not sure about 2, possibly a poppy ... but 1 and 3 definitely look like Willowherbs to me.

I had poppies in the bed opposite so that's a possibility. Googled Willowherbs, looks like they need to come out asap!

Yes ... get them out and learn to recognise them ... if two Willowherb seeds have drifted in on the breeze they won’t be the only ones 😠

Went out to pull those seedlings and noticed a lot of these around too. Another one to pull out?

Re the seedling looks like it might be sycamore to me.

Or ash tree seedling ..... either way ... get rid of it and keep your eyes open for more.

Now you can recognize the seedlings, you will see a
lot
!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
