    That’s a lovely colour, @rholden_82.

Has this glitch of photos uploading sideways been reported to the administrators? I had to try about 20 times before my photo uploaded correctly. @GW-Team

@rholden_82 I've put your pics right side up.
@benCotto, The pic orientation problem seems to gain ground at the moment. I've never experienced it myself.
I've had mixed experience with Dieramas. They can look lovely (for a short period of time) when in full bloom, but look miserable the rest of the time. I planted 4 and have lost them all, never again. :(

They do really well for me on heavy clay in full sun. The border gets very dry in summer. They are slow to establish, young plants may not flower for a year or two and seeds take longer but I think they are well worth it. They don't look shabby in winter if you look after them but we have mild winters here. They have lived a long time and do seed themselves, if allowed. A word of warning; they HATE disturbance of any kind and will die if you offend them so handle as little as possible.
  • When they die back in the autumn I tend to give them a hack back so they are aroudna foot tall and then in the spring I go through and pull out all of the foliage that has died back (they go brown so easily identified and pull out individually) and that just leaves behind the new green growth. Whether this helps flowering I don't know but like I say they have been successful :)
    Dolce far niente....

3-4 years to flower from seed?  And even then they may not flourish!  Oh no!  Well, I'll sow my seeds anyway and just wait.  @rholden_82 - yours look lovely!
