Anybody able to identify this plant yet?

I found them a while back in the garden of an empty house I was working in through winter. Does anyone know what this is? It might be too early to identify yet, i might have to wait a bit to post more pictures when the leaves/buds have developed more.

Possibly (I stress possibly) a lilac .... show us again in a few weeks.

Most  common Privet in UK is evergreen.

Need more info after leaves open.
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
  • I did wonder when I first found it if it was just privet but then I thought privet kept its leaves all year round so started to think it was something else. I’ll post an update in a few more weeks and see if it’s easier to identify. Thank you everyone!
