Sealing concrete pots

Hi everyone.
I've started getting into diy concrete pot making but I've read that the concrete can harm the plant? Thinking of sealing inside with pva? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Clear acrylic varnish would be as good and you can now by exterior grade in matt, satin or gloss finish.

Apply at least 2 coats, 24 hours apart but not more than 3 or it goes milky.   Great stuff for stopping porous pots like terracotta and concrete form absorbing water and then drying and cracking and a great way to stop the lime content and other chemicals in concrete from leaching into your planting medium.
