Weather proof wide wood as bench top

We have 2 step garden. Lower patio and upper grass, seperated by 1.5 foot tall old brick wall. I m looking for weathered wood to put on top to make it like a bench. Ideally wide to sit on, like about a foot wide. I searched alot, i can’t seem to find wide enough boards which can be used outside in garden. any idea where can i get those?

Find your local timber merchant and ask them, They will have hardwood in stock that might suit.
Most timber if protected will be ok outside even wateŕ resistant  mdf (it looks green)  and painted all sides with exterior paint will last for a while.
    Or use several decking boards.

    Or old scaffold boards?

As @K67 says a timber merchant will have wider planks of wood you can get cut to length or second hand scaffolding boards as @Dovefromabove suggests but I would treat it with teak oil rather than paint as that will feed the wood and make it more water proof than paint.  Easier to care for too.  Just an annual clean and a top up of oil.

Thank you all. i m looking into used scaffolding boards, found few on ebay. sometime they don’t write width but look quite wide. i will do more search and try weatherproof with clear solutions and then use teak oil.

searching local timber merchants nearby, i m getting expensive shops in results.

    thanks

Teak oil needs dry, untreated wood to soak in and do its thing.  It won't need it but you could varnish it a week or so later after the oil has soaked in thoroughly.

Might be worth looking for building reclamation yards near you, which often have large pieces of reclaimed wood.

I have a scaffolding board used as a shelf - it’s about 8” wide. They may well come in different widths, but most I’ve seen are similar to mine.
