what's wrong with my hebes

i bought hebe seedlings but two of them have brown leaves the soil is kept damp could it be to wet please can any one help

    Lots of plants benefit from allowing the potting mix dry out to some extent before watering. I can't make out from the photo what your issue is with the plant but it sort of looks like it is in the middle of a room in a house where it might not be getting enough light.

    i had the pot on the table for taking picture i have added better pictures i have left the soil to dry a little in case its to wet

    As they are just babies, they may well have been frost-damaged during transport and storage eg at the garden centre or while with the courier (depending on where you bought them).

    I think Wiri Mist likes sheltered conditions. Maybe you just have to keep them sheltered before planting out, and if they don't thrive, ask for your money back!

    Hebes are native to New Zealand, which has a year round mild climate. I would like a photo but it sounds very much as if they have been damaged by cold and wet. They may resprout in Spring but I wouldn't count on it.
    The best time to buy and plant Hebes is during the summer, when it is flowering. Don't forget to ask the nurseryperson about hardiness.
