Recommended weed control membrane for pathways

What is the best type of weed control membrane to use under a gravelled vegetable patch path please?

I have found the fabric type stuff encourages more weeds. I currently have the type that is like woven plastic under my gravelled path. I think having sufficient depth of gravel is essential too.

I have a geotextile called Terram under my gravel and it has proved to be excellent. The one I have is white but this one seems particularly suited to paths

I'm a surveyor in the utilities sector and we use terram to line excavations with heavy vegetation/root growth so it should be the best stuff. Not the cheapest like.

Get the heaviest duty type you can find.  I've used lighter weight stuff in the past and it tends to break down after a couple of years.

Thanks for the advice. Cheapest isn’t always the best
