    Yes, I almost enjoyed it.

I rather like Calum. He's not my favourite (that would be George) but his enthusiasm is somehow appealing.

Does anybody remember Magnus Pike?  He was all flailing arms too.

I thought it was mildly entertaining. The presenting can still be a bit wooden - Carole & George are fairly good tho..as is Brian....& thankfully they haven't sacked Kirsty yet.

I love Calum's accent and the way he only semi-ironically celebrated his celery's first place when it was the only entry. Love the helpful on-screen labels for the various charming daffs at the start.  Loved George's garden and esp found it helpful to see him replanting the iris with the rhizome on the surface and the roots down in the ground (I'd have put both down in my ignorance). And alpines FTW.

I watched the whole of this without skipping which is a total rarity for a gardening programme.

Heads up!  No Beechgrove this Friday evening on BBC2 but it will be aired on Sunday morning at 8:50.

My goodness , I am cross , I was out digging and delving , came in and my Sky box was recording Beechgrove according to the schedule, except it wasn’t , it was FOOTBALL  grrrrr
mind you I did think it was an odd time for it to be on
  • arneil, Beechgrove is first broadcast on BBC Scotland on Thursdays at 20:00, you should be able to find it on your Skybox. It is less likely to clash with sport.
