I have had real success with penstemon and hebe, rosemary failed dismally, new to trying propagation but will keep at it, so nice when something starts shooting - trying fig at the moment, put the cuttings in the autumn and they are looking good, keep going
It frightens me too but I have had success with ferns ,hostas ,grasses and gazanias and irises and sedums. Come to think of it, I have no idea why it frightens me!
They are very hardy in my experience so now would be fine as long as you water back in well and it's not frosty for a few days after. I am planting several tomorrow but these are small plants in pots. When dividing at this time of year I cut off the older leaves and any that are frost damaged etc. They are great value plants that keep on giving 👍
