Oh dear, this is very familiar to me as I have the same rose and after letting it grow rather wildly last year - it went up to the roof of the house! The flowers were numerous enough but rather too small to appreciate unless close to the house. I have it in the ground in the front and was debating whether to keep it pruned down and in control or cut my losses and remove it altogether - I do not have anywhere else for it. I'll just put it down to a learning experience. I would love a bigger flowering smaller climbing rose. Good luck with moving yours!

I love this rose, ever since I saw the magnificent one at Kew Gardens in flower about 40 years ago.  It is gorgeous.  I planted one in the last house I lived in, it was wonderful but as has been said took a few years to get going.  When it did it covered a corner and most of  two sides of the house.  I've planted another one about three years ago and again, it's slow to get going but it will get there and when it does I will be so happy. Does best on a south wall.
Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
