Is this Wisteria Canker?

Hello!

Can someone please advise me if this is a canker on my wisteria? And if so, How far back should I cut it out?

    That looks to me like a self-healing response to some sort of wound from either pruning or wind damage.   

    I would advise you tho to plant it out in the ground or else give it a bigger pot if you want it to keep growing well.
