Shrub identification

Hi I have recently moved to a new home with lots of new plants to learn about. I am new to having a garden. I wondered if anyone could identify this shrub for me? I have a small dog that likes to explore so am eager to find out incase it is toxic.

    There was a s8milar one the other day which was a photonia

    I'm convinced this is Photinia. Probably 'Red Robin' which is the most widely planted.

    If those are leaf buds then yes, but if they are flower buds then perhaps not.

    can anyone tell me what this evergreen bush is , it has red on some of the leaves

    I agree, it’s a Photinia shrub.
