Dirt mounds/patches

Can anyone help identify the culprits of this dirt mound and patches? We moved in to our new house a few weeks ago and I noticed the small patches. The big dirt mound has appeared twice in the last few days. The second image of the flattened soil is the same one showing there is no hole and the grass is still underneath. Any advice on what it is/how to deal with it is much appreciated
