Geum, success or lack thereof

    I've given up on geum. No success at all. Maybe not sunny enough.
  • I have them in various places from full sun to full shade in good loam and they all do well. I feel deadheading as soon as petals fall is a factor in continuous flowering. You don't need seed as they divide easily enough.

    Thank you for your replies, They are in the sun and in the beds but perhaps they don't like my chalky soil? The banana one hasn't done a thing, not so much as a flower since I put it in a few years ago, I think I will try relocating them in the spring. I would love to get more so if there are any particular beauties you can recommend that would be great. Thanks again.

    Mrs Bradshaw is a "good doer" and brightens up the flower beds

    Thanks to everyone for your replies. I have purchased a few more this year and am determined to find the right spot for them!
