Lifting rotten decking...now what?

Hi guys. Lifting up decking. Stays quite damp and rotted. Pulled up the planks but a lot of shell underneath not rotten. Bits could be replaced. It's built on slabs. Looking at options guys. Thank you. Mark

    Is it the decking that's wet or the ground underneath?
    How long has it been there?
    Do you clean and oil every year?
    Do you want decking again and do you want wood or a composite?
    How much are you willing to spend?

    Hi. It's been down ages and has rotted. No not looking for decking again but want to make a real feature of that part of the garden. Was wondering if the not so rotten frame under the decking is worth keeping to support any structural work so that we can still have something elevated from level of lawn. Thanks

    Timber is expensive, so I'd suggest keeping anything which is 'sound' for future projects if you have somewhere to store it.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    I think a photo would really help but I can't think of anything a wooden framework would support except a shed, not quite a 'real feature'
    Don't know how big the area is but you could reuse the wood for raised beds or fill sections up with gravel and put soil in others
