What can co-exist with Cerastium

We've recently moved and have some (apparently) bare patches at the front of the house facing south, full sun all day.
I was going to plant Cerastium to get ground cover fast, but in the last couple of weeks a very nice clump of Cylamen has emerged and some bulbs.
Will those survive with Cerastium in the same or would it just overwhelm them and they'd never been seen again?

    I cut my cerastium down to the ground every year after flowering, and pull up any wandering bits at the same time. It regenerates quickly and looks much better for it. It's along the base of a privet hedge so it will cope with just about any other plants. Whether they will cope with it. I don't know. Not much else is happy that close to the privet.

    In my garden cerastium became quite a dense mat, I wouldn't say it is good for intermingling. If it grows on top of the cyclamen I'd actually think it might smother it; not initially but over the course of two or more years.

    If you've recently moved why not wait a while and see what else comes up.

    Thanks all for your answers and suggestion... I think I'll start small with the cerastium and try and keep it in check and then cut it back after Christmas to let the bulbs etc. come up
