After 2 or 3 years waiting, this a ppeared this week -well worth the wait but it doesn't look like any of the varieties I bought from Hayloft. Does anybody recognise it please?
That's a beauty. Different nurseries give different names to certain colours and flowers....be it singles or doubles However basically all can lumped under Helleborus x hybridus.
Thanks @Silver surfer, it is gorgeous isn't it and totally different from any other hellebore I've ever seen. It's very upright with a flat face and doesn't droop at all. It's possible it's a Pretty Ellen Double Purple as that was in my original pack of 10. Hope it bulks up!

Sorry but Helleborus x orientalis Pretty Ellen double purple does not look like a good match.
