Advice on building an L shaped raised bed with sleepers against a fence

    Timberlok screws maybe of use for connecting sleepers together, another way maybe to drill a hole through sleepers you want to connect and hammer a steel rod through

    Thanks; that's what I meant - you haven't put soil direct against wall, you've got the sleeper there, plus a gap. I was planning a raised bed against conservatory wall and wasn't sure if I'd need something at the back to stop the soil touching the bricks.

    We will use some plastic sheets against the gravel boards on the long edge, and probably something thicker against the shorter edge. 
    You probably don't need it? I was referring to house walls rather than your gravel boards.
